Lounge is a contemporary venue in the heart of the CBD. In the past we have always profiled new artistic talent both locally and internationally, supporting underground movements not depicted in mainstream establishments.

With patrons ranging from uni students, office workers, retail staff, artists and designers, we attract a wide audience throughout the day and evening. After 11pm, Wednesday to Sunday, we become a nightclub, again attracting a new and diverse audience.

Exhibitions held at Lounge have been successful (for artists) in financial terms. We take no commission from any work sold and charge no gallery fee.

Exhibitions can run from 4-8 weeks negotiable, giving our regular patrons the chance to view your works whilst also allowing your works to be hung for a long enough duration of time in order to ensure maximum exposure.

We offer a vibrant space, which attracts in excess of 1000 patrons each day, and a strong willingness to support Melbourne’s art community. Were looking for artists who are keen and passionate to deliver strong, innovative and suitable exhibitions at a well respected, popular and interesting local venue.

With comprehensive contacts within Melbourne’s contemporary and alternative media, we can help spread the word about your exhibition and give you a leg up in trying to obtain media interest and publication copy.

We offer catering services if you desire, offering everything from finger food for a bustling opening to a full meal for close friends at a more intimate showing, all you need to do is enquire.

We also have strong contacts in the printing industry, with the ability to acquire discount industry rates on printing work you may require for promotional purposes.
